Several of my poems are directly inspired by specific pieces of music and more subtle influences can be found in many other places.

Music is hugely inspirational! Sometimes by the song, sometimes the lyrics, sometimes just certain sections. Also, I always have some sort of music playing while I compose any poem or story.

Ah music really does make an impression upon my work as well. It can enhance the feelings of scenes for me. Such as writing a sad scene, listening to sad music= me laying in bed sad faced for hours. xD

Music is very transpersonal and emotionally evoking. I find it hugely inspirational and effective for writing

Famous author Kazuo Ishiguro actually re-wrote a part of his novel Remains of the Day after listening to the Tom Waits song Ruby’s Arms. Fascinating stuff.
